Choosing a Foundation Bitch
Careful selection of a top-quality bitch is the key to all successful breeding.
An old saying is that the "strength of your kennel lies in your bitches".
Research of pedigrees, books and going to shows will give you a good idea of what type of Akita you like.
Find a kennel that is producing a "type" that is consistent, talk with breeders and owners,
gain as much information as you can.
Try and collect information on the ancestors listed in the pedigree, it will give you an idea of what you bitch has
the potential to reproduce, but remember that you still have to choose your bitches mate carefully to build
a strong bloodline of your own.

Daisy is a very large, typey girl and is one of most mannerable akitas we've ever owned. She has a massive overdone headtype and is occasionally mistaken for a male. Daisy is heavily linebred on large, typey dogs as well and she has proven to be a great producer. Daisy's sire, Ace, is a Misty (Goshen's Polar Mist) grandson and great-grandson. (See Misty info on TRIBUTE page)
Misty (sired by Murphy), was a Hoss granddaughter and great-granddaughter. Ace's sire, O'PR Kevo, also a Hoss grandson. Kevo's sire was Goshen's Unbridled - a Hoss son and a littermate to Goshen's Lethal Weapon "Boss" (Boss was the sire to Touchstone's The Hustler "Kash").
Daisy's dam, Rain, was a daughter of Kuroi Kao Mariah I'm a Hero "Hero" (Hero was also a Murphy son).
Daisy is 25 inches, 105 lbs. OFA excellent
